Physical medicine
Physical medicine refers to all treatment methods that use external stimuli to elicit a natural physical response (e.g. heat, cold, electrical stimuli). This serves to combat pain, improve the general physical condition and the blood circulation and responsiveness of muscles and nerves. It also improves and maintains mobility and improves the resilience of the tissue and muscle strength.
In our practice, we have the opportunity to work with the following physical devices:
- High-level laser therapy (class IV, ASA MVET)
- Low-level laser therapy (class IIIb)
- Current therapy, iontophoresis
- Therapeutic ultrasound including phonophoresis (application of prescription medication)
- Magnetic field therapy-MagX
